Homemade Taco Seasoning

I haven’t bought packets of taco seasoning in years! I actually measured the spices this time so I could pass along the recipe. I’ve been talking a lot about making homemade condiments and other staples to save money and eat better ingredients and this might be the easiest one to put together.

I am happy to say that the Siete brand now offers hard shell corn tacos made with avocado oil. This is a huge win! They also have tortilla chips that make taco night even better.

I only make enough taco seasoning for one meal at a time, but other people like to triple the recipe and store it. I hope you enjoy the robust flavor!

Ingredients: (for 1 pound of meat)

2 tsp chili powder

1 Tsp garlic powder

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

Instructions:

*fry a pound of meat in a skillet and cook until halfway done, breaking it up into small pieces.

*add seasonings and continue to stir and combine.

*add a little water to make a saucy texture (optional.)
